Mermaids

Here's my Toon Club entry for the week. Originally they were going to be framing a sign or a compass rose like the kind you would find on a proper pirate map, but time got the best of them. Mermaids are actually very dangerous creatures. Should I ever run into one my current plan is to high tail it outa there so as to not fall victim to their subtle sironic seductions.

Wonderful! Your mermaids are quite attractive :) I love a lot the design and the way you deal with the scales. Very good job!

This is so beautiful! I can't stop looking at your picture. I'm in awe. There are so many beautiful things about this illustration; the design, the way the skin blends into the tails, the colors, the scales, THEIR HAIR. Simply beautiful. I don't think you would be able to high tail it out of their if you were to meet these two.

Yeah... I can't stop looking at it either... even when I close my eyes. Good heavens, they're attractive! If I were to meet these "dangerous" mermaids, I doubt I'd be doing any high tailing out of there. If you're going to drown in the ocean, you might as well drown happily. Very nice, Seth. VERY nice.

I really love the design of the hair, and you have beautiful line of action and flow to your posing. The colour choice is very nice aswell, very classic, and pastel, my favorite!

Terrific design, Seth! The way you handled the hair is really nice, man.

seth, really well designed. I'm really impressed that you pulled it off without keeping the original pecil lines and shading in there. i don't usually see you do that. And it looks great! Admittely, i could only look at it for a little while, to keep from overheating. If they're dangerous, i better stay away too!

Everyone's already mentioned how awesome the hair is so I won't get into that, but everything about this is just gorgeous....especially the hair.
