SAFE?

Sometimes bedtime is the most frightening part of the day. I've discovered this is true for parents, too, but for different reasons; I always consider it an amazing feat when I get my girls in bed by 8:00. More amazing still is when they STAY there all night. We've got the king sized bed, which is good, because if my kids were crawling in with mom and dad in anything smaller they might have a super cranky dad. They already have Cranky Dad; they don't want to see Super Cranky Dad.

This image is just filled with awesomeness!!! Love the expression on the boys face and the way you handled the bed sheets. I also love the rough lines, it looks like something from a really cool childrens book.

Great job!

i'd be scared, too, with that huge creature staring through my window. great pencilwork and room details.

You amaze me, Seth... this is beautiful. I'm not sure what that is out there, but I don't want one coming by my house. It looks kind of like King Kong, but I like to think that it's the same kind of thing that's staring at him in "toy" form from his night stand. Loads of appeal in EVERYTHING here. That stuffed bear is awesome! I wish I was Seth. You're the best, man!

Oh Yeah! That's what it takes. Throw in a little Carnosaur. Great drawing. I love the little dinosaur looking back towards the other end of the room. Classic.

SETH!! Great to see your stuff here! Impressive, as usual. Haven't seen Monster House yet, but I'm sure your shots rocked. How are things in California?

Haha, this is great, Seth! I can see your work on Monster House has been an influence!

Thanks to your great composition, even the cuddly teddy bear seems to provide a sense of foreboding. Of course, the giant eye in the window does that as well... Terrifying cool!

Don't worry little buddy. Your little dinosaur on your nightstand will protect you. Either that or attack you.

I love the basketball. Such perfect dimensions and shading.

Nice sketch, Seth. When I was a kid I used to surround my bed with all my cuddly toys to keep them on lookout and fend off "the bad things". Just when I was a kid, of course... *ahem*....

I really like this drawing. It may sound weird but the toys are awesome, especially the little stuffed bear. Great mood.

I used to feel this way, only 'it' was sitting in the corner staring at me through the darkness. Good thing I had my blankets to protect me. Awesome work Seth.
